Webinar Title: Technology Integration and Decision Making through Command and Control Centers
The India Smart Cities Mission, an urban renewal and retrofitting program was launched by the Government of India in June 2015 with a mission to develop 100 cities which will provide core infrastructure, a clean and sustainable environment, and application of ‘smart’ solutions integrated into the very framework of the city. With a total budget of USD 30 billion for the 100 winning proposals, 19% has been accounted for pan city solutions related to information technology.
The Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) is a crucial component to the pan city solutions, acting as the nervous system to all ICT related projects in a city. The ICCC enables the city to manage safety and surveillance of the city and at the same time host the other Smart Solutions such as e-governance, GIS platform, cyber solutions, SWM and transport management to name a few.
Smart cities in India helped control and aid in managing the pandemic in a large way. ICCC created for major surveillance and monitoring of city-wide operations overnight became the virtual war rooms for COVID-19 monitoring and control operations. Similarly, in some of the cities the existing Smart Solutions were enhanced to contain and monitor COVID situation.
It is established that the applicability of ICCC is boundless, which brings along several opportunities. The objective of this webinar is to educate the Taiwanese vendor community on the road ahead for ICCC in India so as to allow them to pitch their solutions and products for a more efficient and cost-effective outcome. The webinar will focus of the ICCC architecture, functionalities, applicability to local context, procurement pattern and opportunity landscape. In order to do so, we have invited government officials industry solution experts to provide a clearer picture to the Taiwanese community. The webinar will also include certain Taiwanese vendors showcase their solutions and products that can be plugged to the ICCC model in India. Ultimately, we will aim to facilitate the cooperation between industries in India and Taiwan, so as to make ICT solutions in the times of pandemic even better.
